Recently, I decided to invest in an Olivier Camera Strap from Draught Dry Goods. I wanted something to carry my new Fujifilm x10 around on, and I hated the stock strap that came with it (not a fan of big logos on anything). At $95 (or $100 if you include shipping), the Olivier strap was not cheap by any means, but it’s hand-cut leather and made right here in America (I’m supporting American businesses, Obama!). As an added bonus, Caesy Oney, the sole owner/employee/artisan of the company, allows up to three initials that can be put on the strap. I asked him if I can get my full first name via Twitter (and was willing to pay extra), but he shrugged it off and said he’d do it for free.
So, as a “thank you” to Mr. Oney, I decided to take some pictures (with some help) last weekend of this great looking strap. Here are two.
